Wash your hands and cup well with warm water.
Press the sides of the cup together, then fold it in half again. Hold the folded sides firmly between your thumb and forefinger.
Relax, gently separate the labia with your free hand and then push the curved edge of the folded cup into the vaginal opening.
Depending on the flow empty the cup 2-5 times daily.
Wash your hands well with warm water and soap. Pull gently on the stem until you can reach the base of the cup. Pinch the base of the cup to release the seal and continue to pull down to remove.
Simply empty the contents in the toilet, wash it well with warm water and re-insert/store safely till next cycle.
Note: If the menstrual cup causes discomfort or leaks, then you have not positioned it properly. The menstrual cup can be used safely at night. The menstrual cup retains a minimum of 0.5-20 ml of menstrual blood. The menstrual cup won't deflower you. The menstrual cup is not a contraceptive.
