Gently hold the file between your thumb and forefinger.
Move the file back and forth in a sawing motion along the surface of the nail.
File in one direction only, away from the nail bed.
Use only light pressure when filing.
Do not use the file on nails that are sore, infected, or damaged.
Clean the file with a damp cloth after each use, and store in a dry place.
